Key West, a place of unparalleled beauty, holds a special place in our hearts.  Capturing its essence and light can be difficult.

This class delves into the art of painting cottages, cafés, and beach scenes, with a focus on the mesmerizing effects of light passing through and onto water, palms, umbrellas, and buildings.

Michele, a familiar personality skilled in painting Key West Plein air, will guide you through the process of designing a painting that radiates with life, drama, and a captivating light. Learn how to confidently capture the play of light and shadow, transforming your artwork into an impressionistic visual masterpiece. Light, an elusive and ever-changing force, poses a challenge for many artists. However, embracing the darkness is essential for capturing its essence in a painting.

The class will meet at specific places to paint as a group. Michele will present short

demonstrations or paint alongs each morning and then give you one-on-one guidance throughout your painting journey.

    Let’s paint the town—together!
