Open drawing sessions with nude model.  Bring your own supplies, a limited number of easels are available.  No advanced registration.  Space is limited to the first 10.  Cost is $15 cash.

Impressionistic Oil Painting ~ 4 day Workshop

Join visiting artist Michelle Byrne for a delightful four day workshop. The first day of class will be held upstairs at the Key West Art Center where students will use live models to practice capturing the body language of figures. Every other day class will be held outside, weather permitting. In the event of inclement weather, class will be held at the Key West Art Center.

has never been interested in traditional painting. She has always been drawn to mixed media and incorporating the unusual. She sees endless possibilities in gourds and creates encaustic works with pigmented beeswax.

Jane Grannis

has called Key West home for more than a decade. Her ceramic art is inspired by the colors, vistas, architecture, and critters of the Keys. After 35 years as an art educator and administrator, it gives her great joy to get back to working with clay.

 has won numerous award for her watercolor batik on rice paper. She enjoys the challenge perfecting this type of art presents. While she works in many mediums including painted glassware and oils, it is the watercolor batik that is her favorite.
