Associate Member Show February 28-March 12

Welcome to the sixth annual Key West Art Center Associate Members’ Show.  It begins with an opening reception on Saturday, February 29th and continues on exhibit until March 12th with all works available for sale.  The show is a benefit of membership and a chance to show off the many talents of our associate members.   

 

Guidelines: 

Participation is open to all current Associate Members.New members may include the $45 annual membership dues along with their registration for the show.  Each member is entitled to submit one artwork.  The piece must be consistent with the Art Center’s gallery rules: work may be two-or three-dimensional; it must be no larger than 30” x 40”and must be the original creation of the artist; it may not be photography or digital art.  Two-dimensional work must be framed and sturdily wired for hanging.  Sawtooth or other unstable hangers not permitted.  Wraparound, gallery wrap and other forms of framing are acceptable as long as the sides are at least one inch and painted or appropriately covered.  All three-dimensional work must be sturdy and have a complementary support stand when applicable.   Artwork must have been recently completed and not previously shown at the Art Center. The Art Center will handle all sales and retain a 30% commission on all sold works, plus a 3% fee for credit card transactions.


Schedule:

Print out & complete the registration form below. Return it to the Art Center by Monday,  February 24th.  You can also request an e-mail version of the form by contacting us at info@keywestartcenter.com.  February 27th-bring artwork to the Art Center between 11a.m. and 3p.m.  February 29th -Show opens.  Reception 5:00-7:00 p.m.    Invite your friends and family!    March 12th-Show closes.  Artists must pickup unsold artwork by March 16th.


Volunteers needed!  You can contribute to the success of the show and have fun at the same time by volunteering for the evening of the show... help set up, be a greeter, be a bartender or bring a homemade nibble for the table.  For questions and to volunteer, contact the show coordinator  Haley Herriott (haleyken@msn.com).
