A mission to support, encourage, and showcase the work of local artists
ArtSpark is the Key West Art Center’s youth arts education program, designed to connect high school students with professional working artists for hands-on instruction in a real gallery setting. Launched as a pilot in January 2025, the program began with monthly classes for students from Somerset Island Prep and expanded in Fall 2025 to a twice-weekly elective model, allowing for deeper exploration of artistic media and creative processes. In 2026, ArtSpark will continue to grow through partnerships with additional schools, including CFK Academy, with the goal of expanding access to high-quality arts education and cultivating the next generation of Key West artists.
