A mission to support, encourage, and showcase the work of local artists
Due to high demand, Faces of Key West artist Letty Nowak is teaching a portrait painting class designed for beginners and advanced artists alike. "My goal is to make portrait painting less intimidating so my students will continue painting them confidently even after the class," says Nowak.
Mixing colors, application of paint and some drawing will be covered. Students will be working with oils on canvas to make a portrait of a person they choose. Nowak will also be demonstrating step by step how to get the initial drawing right, how to mix colors and how to get a well-developed painting that looks just like the subject.
Hours: 6:00 to 9:00 PM
Location: Key West Art Center & Gallery (Upstairs), 301 Front Street, Key West
Cost: $375.00
