PROSPECTUS

GUIDE LINES
Plein Air Key West is a non-juried weekend event sponsored by the Key West Art Center. This event will start with 4 hours of plein air painting followed by an artist reception and “happy hour” show and sale of the day’s paintings in the Art Center gallery. Paintings will be displayed on the artist’s easels during the show. No framing will be required. The show will remain in the gallery throughout the weekend.
All artists must have their canvas and papers stamped on the back at check-in on the morning of March 13th. The maximum size is 22” by 30”. Artists may have more than one canvas or paper stamped but space may limit how many paintings will be in the show. All paintings must be completed en plein air on March 12, 2010 in old town Key West without the use of photographs. All work in the show must be for sale. The Key West Art Center will handle all sales and retain a 30% commission on all sold works.
PLEIN AIR KEY WEST is open to all artists 18 years and older.

TIME LINE
FRIDAY:
8am to 9am – Artists check in and registration at the Key West Art Center, 301 Front Street. Artists will receive welcome packets and area maps. Coffee will be provided. This event will be held rain or shine.

9 am to 1:30 pm - Paint

1:30 pm - Bring finished works to the Art Center.

5 pm to 7:30 pm - Artists reception show and sale.

MONDAY
Unsold works removed by artists.

FEES
$10 for Art Center Members
$15 for non-members
